  1. You won't be the same person when you return from your mission. You may be asking your sweetheart to wait for a stranger.
  2. It's not fair to ask your special friend to put their life on hold. That person needs time to grow and explore while you're gone.
  3. If it's meant to be the relationship will grow when you return from your mission.
  4. Hot blood can easily progress to transgression preventing a mission altogether.
  5. It will complicate your mission if you're always wondering if your friend back home still cares for you.
  6. It could be exciting to look the field over when you return from you mission and are free to fall in love.
  7. Serious relationships can be expensive. The money spent may make it harder to afford a mission.
  8. The Prophets have said to postpone serious relationships until after your mission. Then is the time to pursue finding a spouse.
  9. Your friend may ask you to not serve a mission because of fear of losing you.
  10. Your parents and grandparents counsel not to get too serious about a relationship until after your mission because they love you and know what's best for you.
