Shiatsu Masassage Chair
I found out today Panasonic does not have the same offer for MD's as it does for chiropractors. I then contacted Panasonic again and sent them the following email:
"Thank you for your email. I guess I should have explained in more detail regarding my health situation and contacts. For the past almost 11-years I have suffered from Fibromyalgia. Recently I have found using a Shiatsu massage chair (I have been going to the local Brookstone, and Relax the Back stores two to three times a week for about 6-weeks) provides incredible relief. Since I started using a Shiatsu massage chair I am now sleeping better and have more energy. If I go more than a few days in between massages I suffer with poor sleep together with increased neck and back pain, and also find my I suffer from increased fatigue. I am hoping to purchase my own chair in the very near future as I am waiting for Social Security to pay an old claim they have promised to pay.
"What you may not be aware of is Portland, Oregon is the Mecca for Fibromyalgia in the nation, and perhaps the world. The reason is because of the research that is done at Oregon Health Science University (OHSU). The leading researchers in Fibromyalgia are at OHSU. My wife who also suffers from Fibromyalgia is very involved with the OHSU Fibromyalgia research team having participated in a research study, and is one of two official Fibromyalgia media spokes persons for OHSU.
"I have not reported to the OHSU Fibromyalgia research team the benefits I have received from a Shiatsu massage chair, but I imagine they would be very interested in seeing if other patients also receive relief from such a chair. If you are interested, and could provide incentives, then I would be happy to report to OHSU the specific benefits I receive from YOUR chair."
