Building Your Web Site
The building phase generally follows:
- Laying out the basic site including navigation.
- Generating or obtaining any required graphics (including scanning and retouching of photo images).
- Collecting any text from existing digital documents, through OCR (Optical Character Recognition by scanning documents and converting them to text), or manually creating the text.
- Building the basic page templates to be used.
- Integrate a database interface if required.
- Build forms if required
- Put all the pieces together (text, graphic, database interface, forms, etc...) into a great presentation that sells your site contents.
- Proof and test all pages and forms in client specified browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, etc...) This is an on going phase throughout construction.
